Specright is excited to announce several new capabilities and features included in our May 2020 – 7.0 release: improvements to Specright Exchange – Bids, Sustainability Dashboard, Supplier Document Management, Unit of Measure Conversion, Live Chat, Map Enhancements, and Packaging News
Thanks to a great deal of valuable feedback and insights from users, our platform has added a robust catalog of functionality to help everyone harness the power of specification data.
Updates to Specright Exchange & Bids
You can now send your bid requests to multiple suppliers from within Specright Exchange and easily add large quantities of specifications in each request. Organizations and their suppliers can collaborate directly in Specright through our new chat feature that keeps the conversation all in one place and helps eliminate back and forth emails.
Suppliers can drill down to any specification and attached reference material such as files or images and can submit bid responses through Specright, which automatically logs important data like the date submitted. This new Bid feature establishes visibility and traceability for all parties in the bidding process.
Many companies want to track and share sustainability goals but don’t know where to start. We’ve introduced a new Sustainability dashboard that displays key information such as recycled content of corrugated packaging and recyclability of plastic packaging.
Companies with multiple brands can also compare sustainability data for each within a single view.
The new sustainability dashboard lets you:
- Track the Recycled Content of your corrugated packaging
- Track the Recyclability of your plastic packaging, starting with bottles and flexibles
- Compare these metrics for all your company’s brands
Supplier Document Management
Many of our customers have relayed the many challenges and complexities of managing supplier documentation, especially in the Food and Beverage industry. This is one reason why we’ve created a new Supplier Document Management module that allows you to track all documents and expiration dates required for facilities or ingredients. Suppliers can better collaborate with your teams through easy uploading of new documents directly to Specright.
Key documents can be tracked, including:
- General Supplier (ex. Certificate of Insurance, Emergency/Contact List)
- Facility (ex. Corrective Action Audit, Allergen Control Policy)
- Ingredients (ex. Allergens, Organic)
Unit of Measure Conversion
You can now view your specification measurements in both Standard and Metric units of measure. Specright provides an auto-conversion so that any specification height, width, depth, and weight can be viewed in both units of measure as needed, creating efficiencies and eliminating manual conversion errors.
Customer Support Live Chat
We’ve launched a live chat feature that allows users to connect with Customer Support representative directly within Specright. Whether you have technical questions or just want to provide feedback, you can visit the Home screen and click the Live Chat Support icon to start a new conversation.
Specright Map Enhancements
Thanks to customer feedback, we’ve made several enhancements to the Specright Map feature – and it’s officially out of “beta!” Now in our List View, you can sort locations by the distance closest to a city and sort or search by the Primary Contact of your desired location.
Each location address is now shown in full to provide easier access to geographic information. And our Map search has additional validations, alerts, and advanced search functions to provide a better user experience overall.
The Specright News tab introduced recently has been enhanced to show a Packaging News panel. This contains news sourced from popular sites, including Packaging Digest and Packaging Strategies. Future updates will include the addition of other department and industry news.
