Irvine, CA January 06, 2021 — Specright, the first purpose built platform for Specification Management, announced an integration with TOPS, the market leader in Palletization Optimization and Design Software.

TOPS enables companies to better optimize how products get packaged and palletized so brands can fit more products in fewer shipments. This ultimately saves companies money and makes transportation more efficient.

The integration will enable Specright users to seamlessly pass packaging data from Specright to TOPS.

Prior to the integration, users had to manually input data into TOPS, which left room for human error. TOPS users can automatically transfer data from Specright to TOPS when beginning a unitization or palletization analysis. Once the analysis in TOPS is complete, the designs and files are automatically passed back to Specright and associated to the correct packaging specification.

By better managing packaging data and the palletization design process, brands can transform how they approach shipping and logistics, a $9T industry worldwide.

“Most of our packaging users manage their data in Specright and use TOPS for palletization optimization,” said Matthew Wright, Specright’s founder & CEO. “With this integration, packaging professionals can rest assured that their designs in TOPS are based on accurate, clean data. This is critical, as pallet and shipping decisions are the final step in the supply chain and have high risk and costs of failure.”

Victoria Chatman-Galloway, Senior Director of Packaging, KIND Snacks, was using both Specright and TOPS and was the first Specright customer to ask for the integration between the two systems. “This is going to save us a great deal of time and improve specification development efficiency and accuracy,” said Chatman-Galloway. “We can begin to focus on issuing specification packets with much higher accuracy in a shorter period of time.”

The seamless linkage between the two platforms increases data accuracy, saves users time, and increases palletization speed and planning which is increasingly critical given today’s expectations around speed-to-market. It also provides more visibility to supply chain logistics from the front end to packaging design to the final step of shipping a product.

“Our mission is to assist our customers in streamlining their workflow while simultaneously driving down costs in the supply chain, especially in packaging and logistics,” said Bill Rehring, Chairman & CEO of TOPS. “Our partnership with Specright will help us continue this mission by making it even easier to import data.”

The integration is available to all Specright users and TOPS Pro users.
