What brought you to Specright?
I became interested in Specright through both the packaging program at Cal Poly. Working in the tech industry is a career goal of mine and Specright seemed like the perfect opportunity to move into that space as well as allow me to apply my packaging knowledge.
What did you learn while at Specright?
The perk of being apart of a startup is that I’ve been able to do and see a lot that I probably wouldn’t have if I hadn’t joined Specright.
My education has touched many different fields, such as packaging, graphic design, and marketing, and at Specright, I’ve had the chance to supplement my knowledge in each of those areas. For example, I’ve learned how to use Salesforce for marketing automation, improved my writing and communication skills, and have even planned events. Everyone in the office has been so inviting and eager to show me what they do, which has enabled me to learn much more than just the functions of my department.
Why are you interested in packaging and manufacturing?
I love how technical yet creative packaging is. My dad works for Heildelberg, a german printing company, so I was exposed to the industry at a young age and have always admired how much goes into packaging that the average consumer just doesn’t know about. Additionally, the packaging industry is moving into a new, consumer-driven epoch and I’m excited to see how the marketplace evolves in the next 5-10 years.
What are you excited about on the road ahead?
I’m excited to finish my education in the packaging program at Cal Poly. For my senior project, I’ll be getting AWS certified and working for the Cal Poly Business Analytics Agency to further pursue my interest in marketing and technology. My experience with Specright has been incredibly impactful on my career and professional development and I can’t wait to watch Specright continue to succeed. I will be continuing my involvement with Specright by helping build out the academia program and enabling students to better understand Specification Data Management™ in a hands-on environment. Big thank you to Laura Foti, Zach McAnany, and Matthew Wright for mentoring me and truly making me feel apart of the Specright team.
