Pack Expo 2022 kicked off today in Chicago. It was great to see people fill the exhibit halls – all interested in innovation and improvements in the packaging industry.
At our booth, we were excited to unveil our new branding in person. For us, it’s all about the spec. Either the spec is right or it’s wrong. It’s that simple. And, that’s our message to those attending. Do you have control of your specification data? Are you looking for ways to digitize, optimize, and collaborate on specification data? We’re here to help.
Building the Specification Management Ecosystem
It was great to see our engineering team demonstrating our patented Specification Data Management(SDM) to companies within beauty and cosmetics, food & beverage companies, and packaging (of course).
We’re also excited to welcome some of our ecosystem partners to our booth. The Spec Squad swung by today to chat about data digitization with attendees. This team of data experts gathers, standardizes, and digitizes data from suppliers and legacy systems — to get you up and running on Specright’s SDM platform without needing to pull in your own resources.
Are You Living a Digital Double Life?
The highlight of the day was our Founder & CEO Matthew Wright’s Innovation Stage presentation on why we’re leading a “digital double life.” Matthew shared his perspective on how technology influences most of our day-to-day lives, from apps that help us track and manage our health, to smart home devices that automatically turn on lights. Yet, when we go to work, we’re using legacy systems or antiquated processes developed decades ago to tackle some of today’s biggest challenges. And, this is no longer acceptable.
Matthew’s main takeaway – By leveraging the foundational data of your products and packaging, in a central location, you can gain visibility into your products and packaging, reduce costs, collaborate with suppliers in real time, and ultimately, improve your bottom line.
We’ll share a recording of his presentation soon, but if you attended live, share your feedback with us on LinkedIn.
Partnering with MSU to Enable the Next Generation Workforce
Before we wrapped up Day 1, we were also excited to welcome Matt Daum, Director and Professor, of the Michigan State University School of Packaging. Earlier this week, we announced our partnership with MSU to enhance and better prepare the next generation of packaging engineers.
Needless to say… it was a busy and AMAZING first day of Pack Expo! We look forward to kicking off Day 2 with more demos, partner activations, podcast recordings, and more.
See you then!
