Want to learn what Specification Management is? Or maybe you want to “level up” your current knowledge? We’re excited to announce the launch of Spec Academy – an online tool that includes courses and certifications for you to learn everything you need to know about Specification Management.

What is Spec Academy?

Spec Academy is meant for all levels of professionals. As the Academia Program Manager, I am working with our packaging university partners to integrate this tool into their coursework.  Taking the fundamentals course alongside their Specright or Packsight projects will allow them to learn best practices before diving into the platform.  We have big plans for Spec Academy, with the goal of it being your “go-to spot” for industry knowledge-based learnings around how key verticals can adopt and implement specification management effectively. Course bundles will allow learners to mix and match courses to learn how their role can utilize features and tools within the platform to benefit their team or company most.Spec Academy will also be a spot for partners and customers of Specright to be certified on technical learnings around becoming an admin of your system, configuring the platform, and how to take advantage of the analytics. These trainings can be helpful for any user of the system, but especially power users who take on an administrative role for their company. Spec Academy will be a spot that experts or existing customers of Specright, who are creating hundreds or thousands of specs a year can learn how to optimize their data through a strategical spec-first approach

What course offerings are available?

Within the Spec Academy platform, we are launching our first course called Spec Management Foundations. In this course, you'll learn the basics of Specification Management - from what it actually is, to how to create a spec, and why specs are the future of supply chain digitization. We aim to teach academia and industry experts something new about the category of Specification Management. This course is taught by specialized Specright team members around their areas of expertise. We aimed to make the course interactive and engaging through speaker videos, quizzes, and a variety of downloadable content. The 5 chapters of the course include:

  1. Specifications 101
  2. The Value of a Spec-First Approach
  3. Specification Templates
  4. Spec Management Benefits
  5. The Future of Products and Packaging

How do I sign up?

This has been in the works for the last few months, but we are excited to get you all onboarded to Spec Academy today! You can sign up for the Foundations course with this link. If you sign up by Feb. 4, 2022, you will receive a 100% discount code through this link. If you have additional questions, please reach out to specacademysupport@specright.com.
