The Specright Product Team is excited to bring you a host of new features, enhancements, and fixes that elevate your Specright experience. This release is heavily influenced by suggestions from people who use the product daily. With each release, we are dedicated to providing our customers with the best product possible.
In this blog, we’ll be unveiling the major features of this release. However, more details about the entirety of our 24.0 release will be available in the Product 24 Release webinar.
The New Features of Release 24.0
Where Used Finder
We are excited to introduce the Where Used Finder – a powerful tool that allows users to explore the web of connections linked with a specification. This feature facilitates seamless navigation through multiple data levels within the Like Item Finder. This makes it easy to see where specs are being utilized across Specright.
This feature allows users to quickly and easily scroll through several levels of connections, enhances data visibility, and makes setting up for new admins easier than ever.
Export Specifications to PDFs
The Export to PDF functionality allows users to seamlessly make any specification into a ready to print PDF document. It is designed with the user in mind as it seamlessly integrates into the Specright platform.
Key benefits of this feature include a user-friendly interface, ability to generate print-ready documents for various purposes, and customizable PDF layouts supporting custom colors and addition of the company logo.
Supplier Specs
If your team utilizes spec comparisons and variations, then this tool is for you. The Supplier Specification functionality enables you to efficiently clone a specification that is tied to a specific supplier.
You can even group various supplier specifications together under a master specification.
This feature simplifies the organization of supplier variances, allowing for quick creation and easy comparison across suppliers.
Improvements to Our Specification Data Management Platform
COMPASS Integration General Enhancements
This release’s enhancements to the COMPASS integration focus on improving usability for both users and admins.
This includes new notifications for bulk exports, more COMPASS insights and recommendations through the new “Component Type” field, and defined default units to ensure data accuracy.

Updates include the ability for users to preview records prior to submission of the Change Request, simplified navigation powered by dynamic button visibility, a revamped search criteria configuration screen that is more intuitive and efficient, and new email notifications.
With these improvements, users won’t have to worry about unintended updates and the usability of the feature is greatly increased. Stakeholders will also be kept informed in real-time of any change request outcomes.
IDP Improvements
Our team is continuously making improvements to the IDP feature. In this release, users are now able to resubmit a document in case any errors occurred during its initial submission.
Additionally, we’ve included a feature that captures and relays edits made during review stages, allowing for continuous assessment of the model’s performance over time.
