Pallet Optimization Made Easy with TOPS
With the partnership between Specright and TOPS, users gain visibility into supply chain logistics both from the front end of packaging design to the final step of shipping a product. Seamlessly pass data between TOPS Pro and Specright to quickly run packaging scenarios for finished goods. Automatically receive the optimal packaging configuration (data and 3D model rendering) in Specright.
Increased Savings with the Specright and TOPS Partnership
The Specright and TOPS partnership allows for effortless workflows, saving your team time, costs, and energy.
- Enable more cost effective packaging distribution
- Provides more visibility into supply chain logistics, allowing flexibility to quickly pivot a design if necessary
- Respond in real time, work off live data, and have end-to-end collaboration
Stay Proactive and Informed All While Lowering Costs
Create cost effective packaging and make well informed distribution decisions.
Palletization often takes a backseat in the product life cycle, resulting in ever-increasing distribution costs. If distribution decisions are not prioritized, your company risks falling behind. Watch our webinar for an inside look into how the Specright/TOPS integration is helping users create more cost effective packaging and distribution decisions that work towards sustainability initiatives and increases time to market.
Specright’s TOPS Lite
Specright’s TOPS Lite feature requires no separate TOPS installation, ridding the need to configure new software. TOPS Lite offers a completely integrated capability to run palletization scenarios right from within Specright. This is a lightweight alternative to the TOPS Pro Integration that is initially supported for the carton-case-pallet scenario. The Specright & TOPS integration improves visibility into supply chain logistics from the front end of packaging design to the final step of shipping a product. Contact us for more information.

Have questions? Check out the FAQs. For any questions not listed, reach out to us via our ‘Contact Us’ form.
Does the integration support transfer of weight & dimension data from Specright to TOPS?
Yes, one of the primary purposes of building the Integration is to enable weight and dimension data to flow seamlessly from Specright to TOPS when the user wants to run a packaging scenario on TOPS.
Does the integration support transfer of Analysis results from TOPS to Specright?
Yes, the integration enables not only the transfer of weight and dimension data from Specright to TOPS, but also the transfer of the resulting analysis from TOPS back into Specright. This data includes the PDF attachment and images from TOPS that may include the 3D rendering of the pallet pattern and packaging configuration.
We use custom objects to store the packaging data with Specright. Can integration work with custom objects?
Yes, the integration configuration defaults to fetching the packaging data (carton, bottle, pallet, etc.) from the standard Specification object on Specright. However clients can choose to map data from any other object, including a custom object. This is possible through a user interface that allows configuration of the mapped fields. In addition the mapping allows fetching data from the parent (finished good) record as well as the junction/connection record that connects the finished good record to the packaging record.
What objects within Specright can the TOPS analysis be initiated from (and results be attached to)?
The TOPS Integrations can be initiated from a Finished Good (Spec Family) by default, but can be configured to be initiated from any other object, including a custom object. Each TOPS Analysis is associated with the initiating record and when the results are returned back, this association allows viewing all the TOPS Analyses run for that record, in one place.
Is it possible to import the TOPS results back to a packaging or other record?
The TOPS Integration has an “Import” feature that allows you to send data on the pallet, or on one of the packaging stages (primary, intermediate or shipper) back to a Specright record. This mapping is also configurable so that you can choose which of the fields from TOPS are you interested in importing to that record. You can import to an existing record or choose to create a new record.
