Revealing Revision Management - Mass Revision

Our all-new Mass Revision feature transforms Bill of Materials (BOM) management by allowing you to initiate revisions from any record with just a few clicks. Whether you choose to version your existing components or replace them entirely, Mass Revision automatically updates all instances throughout your BOM hierarchy—including parent connections and sub records—eliminating time-consuming manual updates and reducing the risk of errors.

Mass Revision gives you complete control over your revision process with two powerful options: create new versions of components while maintaining historical data, or seamlessly replace components with alternatives across your entire BOM structure. With built-in version tracking and comprehensive change management, you'll maintain data integrity and traceability while significantly reducing the complexity of managing revisions in multi-level BOMs.

Release 29 brings several enhancements to Spec Export, Specright’s in-platform PDF generator. These updates build upon the existing branding and selective access capabilities to add greater flexibility, improved usability, and a more polished user experience.

Some key enhancements to Spec Export include:

• Page Break Component: Add custom page breaks for better document structuring.
• Attach PDF to Specright Files: Easily attach generated PDFs directly to Specright Files.
• UI Enhancements: Improved UI functionalities by adding field sections for Related List Records in PDFs
• Multi-Level Product Data Improvements: Allows bringing data from nested connections, displaying comprehensive hierarchical data
• Checkboxes on PDF: Display true and false values as checkboxes.
• Rich Text Field Support: Display rich text data, including images, in PDF Field Sections.

More Easily Reduce Duplicate Specs with Duplicate Rules UX Enhancements

Digitized specification data delivers maximum value when standardized and free of duplicates. Our latest update to Duplicate Rules makes this easier than ever.

When creating new items, Specright now intelligently flags identical or similar items already in your system, maintaining data integrity and clarity. The enhancements include:

• Unified settings across record types - Create one setting for multiple record types with a convenient "select all" option
• Customizable field display order - Easily arrange selected fields in your preferred sequence for better visibility

UX Enhancements to Specright Tasks

We've replaced the classic record page with a redesigned Tasks modal in Specright Tasks, our comprehensive project management tool. This update enhances your ability to:

• Create task dependencies

Import Approved Artwork Files into the PageProof Integration

Our enhanced PageProof Integration streamlines artwork management by allowing direct import of approved proof files into Specright. There are two ways to do this, allowing you to choose your preferred method:

• Automatic Import - Files transfer instantly upon approval in PageProof
• On-Demand Import - Manually import approved files as needed

Benefits include seamless file attachment, real-time visibility of the latest approved artwork, and workflow flexibility—all without switching between systems.

FDA Integration New Capabilities: FEI Number Verification & Data Import Email Summaries

We've added two powerful features to our FDA data management and compliance tracking system:

• FEI Number Review - Easily access and correct Facility Establishment Identifier numbers for suppliers and facilities, ensuring accurate FDA data retrieval
• Import Notifications - Receive email alerts for FDA data imports from both on-demand refreshes and scheduled weekly jobs, keeping stakeholders informed of new recalls or citations

These additions allow for faster responses to compliance issues and more proactive regulatory management.

Streamline Bidding to Suppliers with Bids Enhancements

We've improved our Exchange (Bids) feature with enhancements that strengthen supplier communication and bid allocation:

• Split Award Capability - Allocate percentage-based business to suppliers instead of all-or-nothing awards
• Complete Communication Loop - Updated email templates notify non-awarded suppliers, with improved tracking of supplier notifications
• Side-by-Side Bid Analysis - Added support for Spec Compare allows simultaneous evaluation of up to five supplier bids

Introducing the Related List Component in Specright Files

We've upgraded Specright Files to make document management more intuitive:

• In-Place Version Updates - Upload new file versions directly from the related list without navigating to file preview
• Custom File Organization - Admins can now create filters in the related list component to separate files into distinct lists as needed

These improvements complement existing capabilities like individual and bulk uploads, file searching, and multi-file record connections—all designed to make your file management more efficient.
