2023 has been a remarkable year for Specright. With recognitions from Fast Company, G2, Gartner, and more, it is clear that Specright is the leader of Specification Management software and helping companies continue to innovate and make amazing things. The Specright team has been hard at work to launch new programs such as Specright Network, Spec Assist, and continue building partnerships with various universities and other technology leaders to serve our customers better. We have also made significant improvements to our product, with four new product releases this year.

None of these achievements would have been possible without our customers, partners, and incredible team members. We look forward to making 2024 an even more transformative year.

From Category Creator to Clear Category Leader

When Specright was founded in 2014, it was clear that a purpose-built Specification Management solution was a need. However, as with most things, change can be slow.

Now, almost 10 years later, Specright has not only created a category for Specification Management, but we’re leading it. In March, Specright was named to Fast Company’s annual list of World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2023, honored as No.3 in the Enterprise category.

This year, Specright also received the Salesforce Partner Innovation Award in the Industries - Consumer Goods (ISV) category, was named a Representative Vendor in the 2023 Gartner Market Guide for Multi Enterprise Collaboration Networks, and recognized as a Top Tech Startup by Food Logistics.

Specright also received 9 G2 badges this year  in categories such as Momentum Leader, Best Relationship, Best Support, and High Performer. Along with these badges, Specright has accumulated 85 reviews on G2 (and counting!) with a 4.5 star rating. If you haven’t seen what our customers are saying about our platform, check it out here. Again, we’re always thankful for customer feedback, and pushing our platform to be the best it can.

Outside of our customers, Specright’s success is also possible due to strong leadership, with a clear vision for our company. In fact, some of Specright’s executives, including Matthew Wright (CEO), Ayman Shokury (CTO), and Laura Foti (CMO) were recognized as Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2023 Pros to Know winners.

Meeting Customer Needs Through New Programs

It is important to us that we continue making Specright a great value to our customers. One way we do this is by creating solutions to roadblocks our customers face when implementing a spec-first approach to data management. 2023 saw the launches of additional Specright innovations, including:

  • Specright Network: We believe that having access to data from suppliers is critical when operating a smooth, well-oiled supply chain, and Specright Network allows for just that.

Specright is powering collaboration by enabling true end-to-end traceability of the supply chain for all partners: brands, suppliers, retailers, manufacturers, and vendors. Brands can collect new specifications and have more visibility on a specs version history. Suppliers are able to share their specifications to trusted partners, opening up communication pathways.

  • Spec Assist: We understand that digitizing every specification can be a daunting task. So, Spec Assist was created to bear the burden of onboarding data into Specright. Now, customers can focus on reaping the benefits of Specright without adding additional work to internal resources.

Our Valuable Partnerships

This year, Specright had the opportunity to create new partnerships and expand upon existing ones across multiple industries.

  • Trustwell Partnership: With the Trustwell Genesis Foods integration, users will be able to utilize end-to-end digitization for food nutritional labeling, expediting the labeling process.
  • Michigan State University School of Packaging: Specright has been heavily involved with the MSU School of Packaging, refreshing the computer lab with a $500,000 donation, as well as partnering with the school to create an industry course for packaging and supply chain professionals.
  • Sun World International: Specright partnered with Sun World, one of the world’s largest specialty fruit breeders, to provide the global Sun World team with access to one digital source of truth. Sun World will be able to fluidly move between a wide selection and types of data sets, creating connections and developing benchmarking and other critical reporting.
  • Bob Evans Farms: While Bob Evans Farms began their partnership with Specright in 2022, in May of 2023, they announced that they will now utilize Specright’s capabilities across their entire Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) function, driving business transformation.

Industry-Leading Events

  • Specification Management Summit: This year, Specright hosted 200+ attendees in Nashville, Tennessee, at our annual Specification Management Summit. Attendees heard from industry changemakers about the value of a spec-first approach, as well as learned more about the power of a purpose-built Specification Data Management platform. We’re looking forward to holding the next Spec Summit this January in Austin, Tx.
  • Pack Expo 2023: The Specright team attended Pack Expo 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada, this fall, and were thrilled to meet so many customers and prospects at our booth. Specright CEO and Founder, Matthew Wright, also spoke on the hot topics of current workforce challenges, including the importance of enabling the next generation to succeed, and on how utilizing AI can keep your business ahead.

Always Innovating our Platform

The Product Team at Specright is constantly working to improve upon our Specification Data Management platform. This year, with four new product releases, new features and enhancements such as the Data Insights module, Specright Network capabilities, and Where Used finder to name a few, have greatly improved the user experience of our product.

We always appreciate customer feedback, so we would love to meet your needs in future releases. Stay tuned for a plethora of new features to come in 2024.

Conclusion

It’s always fun to look back on the past year and reflect on how far we have all come. It is evident that Specright has had a great year thanks to the hard work put in by our team and the support we’ve received from our partners and customers. The Specright team is aligned on some large goals to meet in 2024, and we can’t wait to continue growing. Thank you all for your contribution to our Specification Management journey thus far.
