Who said the only thing interns know how to do is take coffee orders and file papers?
Definitely not Specright!
Internship programs should be about learning but also about enjoying yourself. And Specright knows how to create that perfect balance for their interns.
Being a part of a startup company gives interns the opportunity to see how a company is built, work cross-functionally on projects with their teams, and get to know the community of people at Specright.
Specright goes above and beyond in guiding summer interns through intimate and thoughtful learning experiences so they really understand how to create the best customer experience and add value to the business.

Hi I’m Tina Huang! I am currently a Business Analysis masters student at Michigan State University. A fun fact about me is that I love vegetables more than meat!
During my internship journey, I was inspired by the way the Specright team embraced new challenges and opportunities. Every member was engaged and able to accept changes during the company’s fast growth.
As an intern, everyone I met was so friendly and actively shared their knowledge, helping me learn more about how Specright helps clients succeed.
My favorite project during my internship was the internal org implementation project, in which we imported current customer success object reports and data into Salesforce. This project helped the customer success team speed up onboarding and implementation projects and enabled me to thoroughly understand how the customer success team supports customers and assists the project management team.
Thanks to the Specright team for giving me the opportunity to work with you.
Hi! I’m Kenny and I’m currently a second-year student studying at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo as a Business Information Systems major. A fun fact about me is that I’ve cut my own hair since quarantine.
Throughout the duration of my customer success internship, I’ve been fortunate to dig deep into the Specright platform and learn about the robust applications that it has to offer to the specification management industry.
As of now, my favorite project has been revamping the internal customer success application on Salesforce. This build will allow project managers to more efficiently organize their projects, communicate with other teams, and generate reports and dashboards in one place.
The culture at Specright is filled with passion and hard work. I especially admire their commitment to customer success. It has been a joy working for Specright, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for the company!
Hi! I’m Kennedy and I’m a sophomore at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I am currently studying Event Planning and Marketing. A fun fact about me is that I started a business painting custom sweatshirts for people during quarantine!
Interning at Specright has been an amazing experience and trying to sum up everything I learned during my internship would be more difficult than any project I faced.
What I loved about my internship at Specright was the culture. My supervisors, Jill and Laura, were not just there to give me tasks but to help me learn and build skills that will help me in any career path. They showed me the ins and outs of marketing that they don’t teach you in school and I admire how hard they work to bring success to the company.
My favorite project of this summer was getting to write a book about the founder and CEO of Specright, Matthew Wright. Learning about how the company became what it is today and its impact on the packaging world was fascinating – and even furthered my appreciation for the Specright and its willingness to take risks and be the change.
Thank you to everyone at Specright for an amazing summer and I look forward to watching the company grow!
Hi, my name is Tyler Hartland and I am a rising senior at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. My major is Industrial Technology and Packaging and I am concentrating in supply chain/business operations. A fun fact about me is I would try any food if I had to!
As a Strategic Partnerships intern at Specright, I have truly understood and put into practice the competitive advantage that comes from partnering with other businesses. Specright is more than a company, it is a team that functions at such a high caliber due to the bright minded and genuine people within it, as well as the partners outside of it.
I am lucky to have been a part of Specright this summer working with Adam Armstrong and Danielle Goad, who have helped me make an impact here in just ten quick weeks. I have specifically enjoyed working with the four other interns on a project that will help shape the future of Specright Network product.
It has also been a pleasure to work for Matthew, Laura, and Ayman, who have set a company-wide standard that it’s possible to turn dreams into reality.
Hey there! My name is Christine and I am a rising senior at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I’m studying Graphic Communication with a concentration in UX/UI, and a minor in Integrated Marketing Communications. I’m also on the Cal Poly Women’s Rugby team and I’m studying abroad in Florence, Italy this fall.
As a Marketing intern this summer, I have been lucky enough to work on a wide variety of projects with several departments within Specright. One of my favorite projects was completing a rebrand of Specright’s annual conference formerly known as User Group. We started off with a casual brainstorm session, but two weeks later we were presenting a new name, logos, color schemes, and even some mockup apparel to the company’s top management.
I also enjoyed building out new pages for the website, as it gave me a chance to utilize my UI, design, and marketing skills to improve the user experience on the website.
I’m grateful for the teams I’ve worked with, who have been nothing but welcoming and supportive throughout my time with Specright. A special thanks to Jill and Laura, who have both taught me more in 10 weeks than I thought possible. It has been an exciting time to work here and I can’t wait to see what the future of Specright has in store!
